Fuel used sensor?

Where is the 'fuel used sensor' located that is used by the computer to determine MPG?

I would be real interested to know the same thing. I understood that it was calculated by the computer based on speed and throttle position. Is there really a sensor?

The mpg is calculated by the ecm and how many miles that's left on a tank is determined by the calculated mpg and fuel level in the tank.
