I always use Baldwin filters for everything... Only fleetguard I had on my old truck was the one from the factory... after my couple of free oil changes from the dealer on my new one, I'll be ordering another case of Baldwins for this truck...

can they really void your warranty if you are using a good quality filter ie.. fuel filter, oilfilter, etc..

Just stay away from FRAM... that's the only filter I've heard of that might have issues in our trucks...

FYI - they can't force you to use THEIR filters...

www.genosgarage.com has Fleetguard fuel filters for late model Cummii (plural of Cummins ) for $11.95, about 1/3 of what the dealer wants and it's the same exact thing, just not in a Mopar box!

I've been using AC Oil Filters which were approved by Mopar sometime ago, get them off of eBay for a pretty good price in quanity, Mopar Oil Filters are out there to for a reasonable price, they seem to be getting better in price all the time. Probably will go with them after I exhaust my AC stock pile.
EDIT: Sorry about the rant , original post was about fuel filters... but I also get them off eBay, Luberfiner fuel filters for a good price, these filters meet all of Dodge's warranty requirements.

I think this is in the wrong catagory/post area?

I've used Fram filters on lots of vehicles, including my Cummins, for many years. Never had a problem. They're available in sizes to fit most anything (including my Kubota) and you can usually get what you need at Walmart, which is just a few miles down the road from my house. Which makes it convenient. I've read studies about the amount of filtering media inside the canister compared to other brands and the type of bypass valve, but if you change your oil on a regular basis, none of this will ever be a problem. By the way, a lot of Mopar filters are made by Fram. Same filter, different color.
