I recently did the vent tank mod to my fuel tank. It's not difficult to do once you drop the fuel tank. Basically it allows you to use the space in the fuel tank that is already there but is put in place for gasser Dodge trucks for fuel expansion. You cap off the stock location and drill the tank at a higher point for a new bunkhead fitting and route a hose back to the filler neck vent. You can then fill your truck up to the filler neck very easily and it adds about 5 gallons or so to the useable fuel space.
While you are doing that mod you might as well run some fuel hose from the plastic barbed fittings that are on top of the tank as well. I routed them up above the filler neck and looped them over and back down with a cheapo fuel filter on the hose to make sure no crud can get in the fuel tank.
Here is a link to another thread with more info on that one....https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=117209
Hope that helps.

i guess i dont know the problem. i can fill about 15 gals in a min or two. i remember having to hold the nozzle at one pump, but the pumps i always fill up at i have had NO problems.
i think it is the pumps not the truck.
i have noticed i have some sort of vent if you look down the filler neck. i dunno what it is though.

I have a 35 gallon tank and regularly fill approximately 32 gallons - takes about 5 minutes, no vent mod. Should I consider a vent mod? I was under the impression that this was fixed on the 07 Models, but this thread seems to state otherwise?
