Frustrated with a vibration.. and a dealership
Just an update... I took the truck to a DIFFERENT dealer... Told them of the situation at the first dealer, and the service person laughed LOL... Got a call from them today, they are replacing ALL the U joints in the rear driveshaft as well as the carrier bearing under warranty... I will keep you posted if this was the problem, but something tells me, the vibes will be gone.

If this solves the problem, I would want to know why you keep having u-joints and carrier bearings fail at your mileage.
Either the second dealer is just good, or they are going above and beyond to demonstrate their superiority to the first dealer you mentioned. Probably a little of both; some competition tends to up one's game.

If it fails again, it will likely do it when I am out of warranty, so then I will be on my own. I am still amazed that the first dealer told me I needed an entire driveshaft...

If the vibes come back, I'll be going one piece.. I just wanted to get it repaired again under warranty, since that's what I paid extra for when I bought the 7 yr 70k mile warranty. The problem I am seeing in my research, is that the one piece driveline is based on the automatic trans trucks, and the NV5600 trans does not have a one piece shaft that fits without modifications. I could be wrong though..
