I got a quote to get the front two windows tinted to match the rest of the windows for $65. He said they would match the rear tint perfectly. Is that a good deal? Or are they probably going to use the cheap crap that will bubble in 2 months? I know absolutely nothing about window tint so someone please chime in.

 

Pretty fair price. Most tint dealers have name brand products with warranty that back them up for probs. If not, find someone else.

 

I had the fronts and a windshield strip for $90, so your price is about right. I noticed right away that the top grade tint that was installed the front is a slightly different shade than the rears. It seems to get better after a few weeks.

 

I wish I could have the front windows darkened like the rear. In Alabama the
window tint police will write you up.

 

If you get the front windows tinted to match the rear they will be illegal and won't pass an inspection.
However, 65 bucks a year for dark fronts isn't too bad... so long as you don't get a ticket....the quote is about right, 70 is the going rate, make sure you are getting 3m tint, and that they do the whole window, and that you get a nationwide, lifetime warranty.

 

Round here, $65.00 is downright cheap. I've gotten two quotes, one at $85.00 the other $104.00

We are allowed 35%, I imagine the rears are 20%, but cops around here have better things to do with their time than hassle motorist.

sounds about right. mine were about that price. like others said, check local laws. most tint shops know that.

In general if they give you a receipt, you are legal. No recipt, no legal. In my experience.

 

I got all of my windows in my quad cab tinted with 20% and a 5% custom stip on the windshield for $100 with a warranty. He does the two windows with warranty for $50 all day long.

 

That might be how it is down in Texas, but up here in Oklahoma we don't have inspections anymore! Just one more reason Oklahoma is always on top!!

$65 is exactly what I paid for 20% on the driver side, passenger side, and a 8" strip on the top of the front window. It came with a lifetime guarantee too.

 

I had mine tint matched for 45.....but it was another fireman that did it so he cuts us a break....

 

First I would check your state laws if it were me. I was stopped once in Utah while driving my sons car. It had tinted front windows. I would have gotten a ticket if I was a young guy I'm sure, but the trooper told me to just keep the front windows down untill I was out of Utah instead.
As far as price goes I paid $109.00 for both front windows and the back window on my regular cab.
