Front windows tinted for $65?
$45.00 in SoCal with lifetime warrenty against bubbling or turning purple. Shop did my 1994 Civic when it was new so they've been around a while. Not legal in California, but it sure helps when we go the river and it's 115 deg out.

I found a place that did my whole truck 15% on front and back (made back 5% with existing the way the truck came) and the strip accross windshield for 140. I had a 2002 chevy done by a different place. They did the fronts to match and the strip and they charged me 100. Later that year I hit a turkey and busted my windshield so this new place fixed my windshield. I talked to them about my window tint and they would charge 45 to do fronts and strip. So I went to them to do the tint on my new truck. I don't know where you guys live but you might check for a place like this. It is FASTRAC AUTO GLASS,
I got my front two and the back big window for $100 bucks on my mega with lifetime warranty.
it will be hard to match the rear windows perfectly because the tint is embedded in the glass on factory windows, but mine is so close you cant tell.
I wish we where like Arizona with no tint law, I hate having the rear windows darker then the fronts
looks funny IMO

in oklahoma we can have 15% tint law i believe, but i've never had anything more than 5% and have never once had a problem from the police
plus 5% on my whole truck is 80$ 2 front windows, 2 back windows, and the big back window

I had 4 windows, back glass, and sunstrip 3" below the AS1 line done with 5% for $165 in TN.
As far as tint laws...who are they to tell me what I can and cannot do to my vehicle that I hold the title to? Whose vehicle is it, mine, or the state of Virginia? I realize police safety when approaching the vehicle on a stop. I also realize that driving is a priviledge, not a right. However, when are we going to stop letting "punish the masses for the sins of a few" go unchecked?
OTOH, I've never been pulled over for window tint, or for any other reason for that matter. All my trucks have gotten the 5% treatment since 1998.

I had mine tinted in the front for $75. I only got them at 50%. Totally legal and I can see out of them at night. They give the truck a nice look also. But going dark was not an option with a plow.
But I was sitting in traffic court this morning fighting a ticket I got for speeding (90 in a 65) Cop was cool and wrote it up for 75 in a 65. So in RI they give you the good driver benefit of the doubt. No tickets in the past 3 years they let you go. So I walked free and clear. Well sort of they want me to mail in my driving record. So it will cost me 15 bucks and a stamp. But what I found real funny was the people with dark tint tickets had to prove to the judge that the tint was removed. He made them pull the car out front and a sheriff went out and check it. You gota love these small states. MASS would have just made you pay it and suffer through any insurance surcharges

I like Rhode Island too - when me and my buddies got locked down in the slam there over spring break, they banished us from the state for 4 years instead of giving us hard time!
But they did make us fly off the Island on the next flight out...

Um fly off the island? What island? Rhode Island is a state in New England. And it is not a huge spring break spot. I think you are mixing it up with something else.

When I had my truck I had all the windows tinted (even the camper shell) with 5% tint. Yes it was illegal as heck but it sure looked good.

We have a lady that comes around the Fire Stations and will tint windows fairly cheap and she uses 3M tint. She charged me $150 for mine but that sure isn't the norm. $65 sounds like a good deal to me. Expecally if you can get them tinted like you want them.

Part of Rhode Island is, well... an ISLAND (known to locals and your favorite GPS as Block Island)
Trust me - it was a huge spring break spot when me and my buds were there, back in the day of course!
No film of any kind is allowed on the front side windows in CA. If you get a ticket for it you have to take it to the ticketing agency to prove you pulled it off. I have had tinted windows on all my cars/trucks and in those 16 yrs have had 1 ticket for tinting, but I was pulled over for rolling through a stop sign (California stop).
CA has some of the stupidest laws I have ever heard off. Seems like everybody in state drives around with no plate on the car so they can fly through the toll booths. Cops don't even care that no one has plates on their cars
