Front end suspension making "c lunking" noises when turning some times more than othe

I've herd some funky clunking noises in the front end for some time now, took it to the dealer they replaced the control arms in hopes it would fix the problem but NO!!!. When I turn (seems now more to the right than left) something is claniking clunking....
Anybody wana take a shot at it ???

Ahhh....I think I know your problem. Sounds like it's the track bar. Get someone to watch the front end of your truck while you turn the wheel. If it's like mine was, your buddy will see all sorts of things moving that shouldn't.

Search for a post titled "track bars, help needed" and you'll see where I wrote in and what I did to fix it. All has been fine since - no more noise.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Mine is tight as h#@! I yanked on my 2' cheater bar as hard as I could. I don't know what the correct torque is but...

I guess I better get someone in the truck to turn the wheel back and forth with me under to do some listening...

I was talking to Gerad over at jackit.com, when I ordered my 6 inch lift. Gerad told me what the Clunk is, and cannot for the life of me remember. It is not the trac bars. Look em up and give them a call, just ask for Gerad.

My truck does the same thing. Only with hard turns to the left. Took to dealer and they can't find anything wrong. Anyone?

Had the same problem. Brought it to the dealer and they said all that was needed was lubrication. It fixed the problem.

localnet,

You can't remeber...come on! Please jog your memory. There are many who need to know!

I tried to email Gerad, but have not heard back. I have not had time to call...maybe someone else can.

Thanks!

What needed lubrication? Mine just started doing it today. I have about 5500 miles on it now. I cant figure this out for the life of me. I spent the better part of the day under the truck and cant find anything loose.

I couldn't pin point the noise to a specific area like the steering gear box or track bar. But my ears are not great.....help!
