If you have factory wires for fogs some trucks do and some don't check under front drivers bumper look for a pigtail if you do you can have a factory set up with these parts:

Part #'s
82208102-Lamp Kit fog lights....retail $169.00
56045501AC- Jump wire Driver to Passenger light....retail $31.50
56045537AC- Switch this replaces your headlight switch with the factory one with fogs.....retail $47.00

This installation is well worth the extra cost in the time it saves to install the lights and switch you need the factory wire to the drivers bumper if it is there the fuses relays are all in place good luck I hope this post helps you out.

BTW I sold the extra wires that came with the kit and the old factory light switch on ebay and recovered some of my initial cost.

How does the old headlight switch assembly come out of the dash on an '06? I ordered the new foglight/headlight switch today from my Dodge dealer. It was $47. A buddy of mine took his foglights and jump wire harness out of the bumper of his '04 as he had put on a Road Armor bumper and wasn't using the foglights. The whole deal snapped right into place using the supplied mounts that came with my Ranchhand bumper. All I need to do is change the switch but it is less than obvious to me as to how to get the old one out of the dash without wrecking something.

It IS fishy .... you don't have to take the bumper off. It's a 'driveway' install

Jeff in TD:Did you ever manage to get your foglights to work without any of the other lights coming on?

Jeff in TD id you ever manage to get your foglights to work without any of the other lights coming on?
? I don't remember posting about getting the fog lights on without other lights?

Mine are factory, and you have to turn the headlight switch to Park or Headlight before it will let you pull it out to turn the fog lights on... which make sense to me in that if you are in conditions where you need the fog lights, you also want the tail lights on.

Don't do it!! Unless you want OEM fog lights for aesthetic purposes only, then fine.

My replacement aluminum bumper had cut-outs for the OEM foglights, so I put them in. I even went so far to do the fog light bulb upgrade. A few weeks ago I was heading out to hunting camp at night and in a blizzard. The factory fog lights are useless! I now have upgraded lights - just got to modify my bumper and mount them in.

I put the factory light kit on my 03. I also did not use the rocker switch, instead purchased a seperate OEM switch.

Ooops. Just realized you were not the person who posted about running with just the fog lights on. It was in an RV forum. I like to drive with my lights on (more visible) but dont like having all of my truck and trailer lights on during a bright clear day. The way its wired its all or nothing.

Maybe your upgraded bulbs were bogus Festus cuz my stock fog lights are awesome. Without them on I can hardly see anything ... the headlights alone are not that great. The fogs are great for plowing also ... the light bounces off the back of the blade and light up everything around the truck ... nice.

Bark, using the light wiring harness (adapters) for my plow from Curtis I can run the fogs without the headlights ... just flip the switch to turn the truck headlights off ... but obviously the running lights and tails will be on with the fogs ... can't imagine why I'd ever want it any different than that. If I want to be seen from the front I also want to be seen from behind.

Thanks for the input. Rather than hijack this thread I will repost the question because I still would like to try it.

I think it's the fogzilla mod - posted right here in the forums where you replace the OEM bulb with a high beam (9006??) bulb. I find them OK for the highway and such, just lacking for very inclement weather and remote roads.
