Fluid Drips From Lower Corner of Radiator???

Noticed oily fluid dripping from the lower right side corner of the radiator (passenger side). The drips look alot like tranny fluid & I'm seeing Frisbee sized oil stains on the garage floor most mornings. Anyone ever experience this problem on a 2003 Ram 2500 5.9L? The area directly above drips from the lower corner of the radiator looks like a diagnostic nightmare considering the radiator & trans cooler, etc... are packed so close. Thoughts anyone?

Coolant in these newer trucks is RED. Thats why you thought of tranny fluid. Might need to smell it and see which it is. Also, ck the Little hose running from near the radiator cap. They have a tendency to leak. Finally, Ck the water pump, the area you describe is right in that area..

I had the simular problem then it got worse! Come to find out the Dodge CTD fan shroud have a tendency to rub on the cross tubes on the right side where the wiring harness travels for the fan and make a hole! I had a radiator shop fixed the hole for $65 after I removed it! I also but a square piece if felt with an adhesive side on the shroud and fixed it sow it wasn't rubbing as much! Seems to be a common problem! Good luck!

Will check later this weekend to see if this is the source of the leak - Thanks!

Also, if you havent already, put a hoseclamp on the overflow hose coming off the radiator, coolant seeps out there and leaks down the back side of the radiator/fender apron area, makes you think there is a leak...

This is what cured my truck's coolant leak..........a hose clamp on the overflow tubing, which is on the passenger side.
