I am thinking that I want to put a flatbed on my truck. I have looked at some Bradford and CM beds. They are pretty nice but also have a nice price tag as well. So I am thinking of just making one myself with some help from the neighbor(he is the metal guy, I am a wood guy). I am thinking of running 2 2x4 box stringers to mount to the frame with 2x3 cross members and a 6-8" skirt around the perimeter and a wood deck of 2x's. Of course there will need to be a headache rack and a rear bumber just like a manufactured bed and lights and all. Any suggestions and/or pics appreciated. Thanks.
