I am so pleased with my truck I just have to let you all know. I just finished a 2K mile trip and got 19.7, 21.5, and 20.5 MPG on three consecutive tanks. I was empty and doing 70 MPH even though the speed limit was 75 MPH. On the 19.7 tank I had my tailgate down to see if there was any diference. When I put the tail gate up for the second tank and got better mileage, I left it up
I have kept track of every drop of fuel put in my truck. The first 10K I got 16.5 average. Between 10-20K my average went up to 17.8. I was really hoping a pure highway trip would give me 20+ and my hopes materialized. I have had a grin on my face since I test drove this truck and when I cyphered 21.5 MPG it turn into an outright smile! Man I love this truck

I've got 3 years, 72K miles on my 01 and I still love driving it. It may only get 16mpg on the high way, but that ain't to shabby for a lifted truck on 35's and 3.54 gears.

No complaints on my 03. Love it!!! Just got back from a 1300 mile trip, getting 18.5 mpg with 4:10 gear, running a little over speed limit

just a question was that on the over head or hand calculate. my overhead is usually 3-5 mpgs on the low side. i just hand calculate my last tank and it has been highway and city and i calcualated 22.9 mpg! i was happier than rosie o-donnel in a buffet full of ho-hos! my overhead said 17.4. its a fun suprise when that calculator pops up 5 mpg higher

The numbers I posted were hand calculated with every fill to the top of the neck. My overhead has been as far as 2 mpg off and as little as 0.1 I have not cracked the code as far as what conditions cause the overhead to vary.
