First Time in a 3rd Gen

Just bought a house and decided to use the big 32' gooseneck cargo trailer we have at work to move and since we already have a truck set-up to haul it I decided to use it as well. Here's a little about the truck - '05 3500 QC dually ST with the Cummins, 48RE, limited slip 3.73s, and a/c. That's about it as far as options. Truck has about 80k miles on it.

This was my first big time haul in several years and man I had almost forgot how much I enjoy it. But I was especially pleased with the way the Cummins handled the load. I couldn't believe that it could easily haul in OD and accelerate relatively easily. And it didn't burn a ton of fuel to do so. I was also pleasantly surprised with the ride quality and power on hand unloaded. I've gotta say, you 3rd Gen guys sure have it good.

May hook up to the trailer with my 1st Gen tonight just to compare the 2.

Question...what is the power numbers for the '05 Cummins mated to the 48RE? Is it the same 325 and 600 as the manual trucks?

Yeah, definately two different worlds, no comparison. I even started to listen to the radio/XM again.

Cadillac would be to have my p-pump 12v in a 3rd gen!

I've already thought about yankin the engine out the 95', resealing it, painting it Cummins red, polishing the valve covers, makin' it look new and jammin it into the 03' !!
