Pics

Nice pics.. I like the black wheel look.

VPI - The links on your old posts are dead. Can you repost them?

Dodgezilla - I saw your alloys for sale a while back w/315's, was thinking about it, but I don't think I want to put 315's on my truck.

A question for those of you who had your speedo recalibrated to match your bigger tires. Does the overhead computer also show the correct data? DTE, Tripmeter, approx MPG..

Yes, recalibration will reset the overhead also.

Where in Sask are you?

I have a dually and took the plastic outer caps off and put the center caps back on. Looks mean...its more of a satin or matte black then a gloss.

Depending on what wheels you have now, I think that you can sand blast them and powder coat them.

Saskatoon, I was thinking of the powdercoating.. I suppose sandblasting would a required as well. My center caps are grey.. I wonder if any others would fit?

If I find the pictures I will repost. I have them on my 95 Ram at the moment and don't own the 03 any longer. In other words I can't just run out and take a new picture.

Theres a low quality picture of my truck with some black rims. Here's what I did:

I took the stock steel wheels and peeled off the chrome skins. I then got the adhesive off the wheels that was holding the skins on. They were already painted black. I gave them a few extra coats of black paint and put them back on. I got some long chrome lug nuts and left the center covers off.

I may be able to load a better picture into my gallery if anyone is interested.

here's some pics of my truck, 17x9 rock crawler spoke, 4.5 inch backspacing, bought from 4wheelparts, $73 a piece, fit good, no problems, have 2 sets, have pulled up to 26,000lbs with them on there, havent bent yet, i tried the 19.5 inch tires, too **** rough ride, i recommend these wheels, i run them with 36x12.5 trxus m/t's and 325/75 toyo a/t's, 2 inch coil spacer, no fender rub. www.dixiemfg.com , look at the front bumpers page.

No, they're not the spare wheels. They're the stock 2004 steel wheels. They just have the shiny chrome skins taken off. I'll try to get a better picture in my gallery soon.

HighTen - Thanks for uploading better pics. How long did it take you to peel the chrome off?
