It finally made it

Just picked up the new truck ordered on 4/16 delivered on 7/7
2 days short of 12 weeks, and a good part of that time was sitting at the distribution center waiting for a turck ride to the beach.

But it finally mad it,, and i must say after driving a first gen for 11 years i heard no vibration no ticks no whine and felt no vibration just quietness, it was a wonderfull thing, by the time i got home itwas to dark for pictures, but i'm shure i'll take about ahundred tommorow.

i've seen allot of good looking truck on here but this one seems to be extreamly good lookin!! maybe it's just me

durring my 3 month wait i've collected a number of parts that ought to keep me buisy for a couple of weekends.

Congrats RickD on a fine choice in color and truck! I am happy to report to you that at 19,500 miles I am still as excited to drive it as the day it came. Look forward to a lot of fun with your new ride!

Nice..

We just started looking for our truck this week. We had an Expedition (5.4L). We used to pull a 21 ft boat with it. However, we upgraded last month to a 24ft cruiser and the Expedition did well, if you ignored hills and gas mileage.

The kicker was when we went to pull the boat out of Lake Powell this last week. We got cut off and had to stop. The truck wouldn't move. We finally coaxed the truck up the hill and parked the boat at the dry dock. I wasn't looking forward to the hilly drive back home towing the boat.

So, after that episode, we decided to get our new beast. We got the two inch leveling lift, nerf bars and Maxx Guns wheels.

That's the mods, for now. However, we plan to move the PS2 over to the truck as soon as I figure out were to mount the monitor..

Chipset, nice truck! Regarding the PS2, check with the dealer... I could swear that I saw a picture of an overhead monitor mount for the ram... could be trick photography, but it might be worth looking into anyways. Where are you from anyways? You must not be too far from Powell... just wondering since I am in Prescott and like to take my boat to Powell as well.

Bigg,

I am in Salt Lake City. I got tired of Bullfrog, so this year we put our boat in at Wahweap. Mostly freeway, versus the back roads to Bullfrog. There's just too many idiots on the road to BF.

Anyway, I was thinking about an overhead. However, after taking delivery of the truck yesterday, I can't see how an overhead would go inside. The overhead liner is contoured, unlike the area I installed mine in the expedition. Also, the head liner moves a bit. They would have to mount it to the metal (strong magnets or adhesive, perhaps?) for it to be sturdy.

Still debating it. The 7 hour drive to Powell seems shorter when the 8 year old is occupied.

As for the compliment on my truck, thanks! I wasn't sure how the wheels would turn out. I wanted the Helo Max 8s, but I couldn't get them in 17s. I would have to go 18s, then the tire selection really sucked. So, I went with the Guns.

I am going out to powell every other weekend this month. If you want to hook up, let me know. I have a slip down there on the new docks..

Nice looking wheels! What size tires are you running?
