Whats the max tire size 17", I can fit in there w/o clearance/rubbing issues. I will most likely be getting the GF new 8" or 10" 17" wide rims. Thanx.

 

Are you planning on a lift? If not then I think 315s are about the limit with a miniscule amount of rubbing which you will barely notice. I guess it also depends on the backspacing on the rims you choose....

 

No lift. This is the girls truck, and she is happy with the height. I may stay around 305's to avoid any issues at all.

 

Honestly, I can see where mine have rubbed a little bit but it's only at full lock and if I hit a bump. Other than that I have had no problems. I was actually going to get 285s but the 315s were about $70.00 less each tire. I had no choice. I think the prices have jumped way up now. You may want to check e-bay for someone selling 315 Hummer takeoffs.......

 

I notice those of you suggesting the 315's have 4x4 trucks. The person posting the question, didn't list 4x4. For those in a 2WD, what is the biggest tire size that can be put in?
