Filter location
Diesel or gas? If you have diesel, why use the dual kit?
Have you looked here for other installations? Just lookup your truck in the list.

Which model dual filter do you have? Is yours the remote mount with the bypass? If you go to Amsoil's website there is information about many different install locations for our trucks, you could get some ideas there for mounting.
I have the dual kit which relocates the factory engine filter and also has a bypass filter. Mine is mounted up front under my front bumper. I got it because I have twin turbos and it was/is a pita to get to the factory filter, much easier to change oil/filters now.

Yes it's diesel. Decided to use the duel remote filter to move the filters to a more accessible location for catch pan when changing. Didn't know about the suggested locations on the Amsoil web site. Just wanted some experienced opinions on where it worked for other people. Behind the front bumper sounds like an idea worth investigating. Thanks
Keep an eye on the oil pressure with the dual remote kit. There are known reports on and other sites about guys having oil pressure issues while running the dual kit. That's why most run the single, it keeps the factory full flow in place specifically for that reason.
