Factory Fog Light Mod
Factory Fog Light Mod
Just a FYI, I had my fog lights set up to stay on with the high beams by the dealer and just wanted to let averybody know that it also makes it so the low beams stay on as well. All I can say is it a huge improvement over the high beam only set up.
When you melt your wires see what they say then...
I wouldn't advise of running all lights at once, the lighting system isn't really capable of holding that much juice. I've seen many cases of overloaded wiring and it can destroy your whole electrical system.

I would find that hard to believe as that is the way they are sold in other countrys, unless they has a different wire harness for the export trucks. How would it be any different then running a brite box?? There are also several people on here running it.

Well unless they make a different harness for a truck the gets sold in Canada or Mexico I should be fine as they have that feature enabled on them. I dont see how dodge would give a tech the opition to enable it if it would melt down the wire harness.
As said when you melt your wires down see what they say...I have seen this problem before...I'm not telling you what to do...
and anyways, do you really trust your dealer??? i know i don't trust mine or anything they tell me.

So how'd they do it then?
They put the scan tool on and go into fog lights and enable them if they arent already and select export/mexico/Canada as thats they way they are programmed there. I aslo checked with parts and they dont make a different harness for US trucks so I should be safe. If it burns down then I guess I will have to get a FORD(LOL).
