Unhappy Everything is HOT!

Hey Guys,

I have been running Amsoil in all my fluid and regularly change them. Last week my trans temp was getting hot (170 degrees) in hot weather while towing. I thought no big deal. Over the weekend and changed all of the fluids (oil, trans, difs, and coolant) and filters.

Today all of my temps are hot.
Trans 180
Engine coolant 200
Intake air temp 189

There is no debris in the radiators and I will pressure spray them tonight.

CEL light is on showing code U010 and keeps coming on even after resetting.

Any suggestions?

Neil

Ive seen trans temps of 190-200 while towing in hot weather (while driving in stop and go traffic)...I thought it was normal and within safe specs....

Is your truck down on power?

None of those temps are hot at all...?

Don't worry about it... Just drive it.

Thanks guys.

I am used to trans around 140 engine 190 and intake air temp 140. Even when towing or in traffic. Only recently have I seen the temps go higher. The power is still there and I guess I am still rolling.

As far as what should be hot, at what temps should I be worried?

189 for an intake temperature is abnormal unless you were running hard, shut down and checked the temp when you first started. The rest of the temps are very normal/typical.

Over the last couple of hours, the temperatures have decreased and the truck's temps have also decreased as well. I guess after a 143,000 miles, things start to change.

Dang that's alot of miles on an 07'. We could assume you drive for a living? Also have you tried spraying water thru your intercooler/radiators? I usually spray some simple green thru the fins trying to get to all areas and hose it down quite well.

This morning I have sprayed the fins witha cleaner. I will update you guys at the end of the day. I have noticed this morning that the outside air is cold and everything seems ok. I will be pulling a trailer out to Palm Springs today in 100 degree weather. I hope not to blow anything up. :-)
