Ether all hot, or all cool???

I've been having some problems this winter, I don't have a happy medium with the air temp control. If i put **** all the way to hot, then start turning it down, it doesn't get any cooler, still says hot!! Unless i turn all the way down to cool, then it blows cool air, even if i keep turning up, and it will continue to blow cool til i turn it all the way up to the last knotch on hot!! Its all hot or all cold!! is my heater control broke?? Help me out fella's!!-Chris

Sounds like a blend door problem. There is no valve that shuts off the coolant like the older trucks, just diverts cold and hot with a air diverter door. Do you have the "free" service manual from the ram forums? That would help beyond that. Maybe someone can post the link for the download.

The mode door is what changes the air direction.
