Entry alarm goes off in reverse and park?

I Just bought a 05 ram slt quad cab 2500 with no mod's done to it and its got 110000 on the Odo i bought it from a single owner. I was backing up in my driveway and i had the door shut but not all the way and all of a sudden the alarm started going off and the reverse indicator light was flashing. I thought it might be some safety issue or something so i didn't think nothing of it so then i was driving it last night i went to put it in park as soon as i put it in park doors still shut, the alarm starts going off again but this time all the indicator lights are flashing it goes off once you turn the truck off and start it again but i can't figure out what the problem is

That is normal. Dodge made a recall because people werent putting thier trucks in to park all the way and would roll away since it was in "reverse."

By the age of your truck... It was a software upgrade (if you call it that) that the dealer did. It was recomemded from the factory to Flash it. They did mine and I REGRET IT! They's no going back. If you're in a hurry and open your door it will go off. In reverse.... everytime when the doors open. Ask the friendly people at the camp grounds when your trying to hook up early in the morning. People are not so friendly when they are woke up.

If you do a search I think there's a way to bypass the alarm. On my '06 it was as easy as a scotchlock on the seatbelt sensor wires if I remember right. I think on the older ones it is a bit more complicated but do a search and I think it's doable. Been a while since I dealt with it so my memory is a little fuzzy.
