Anyone ever use Allen Samuel in Ennis for warranty work? If so, were you happy w/ it? TIA

yes I have used them. they seem to be a good dealer but they are still a dealer. they had a real good diesel mechanic but I'm not sure if he is still there or not. they also kind of gave me the run around last time i was there so I'm not sure if i would go back to them or not. hope this helps

Never used them for work, but I did work with his son. Every time his car made a noise, he'd make a phone call and have a new car delivered. The dealership also ran a awsome ElCamino hot rod at Temple Academy Dragstrip at one time. That thing was a beast. Looked like it would break the frame with a twist every time it took off because of the monster tourque.

The service department at Allen Samuel in Austin has a bad reputation. But, I'm sure it depends on the service manager for each store.

By the way, did you go to the nationals in Ennis Sunday? Cool race.

Hunter,

I went Sunday. It was a quick day for me when Force went up in smoke. Good for a diesel, not for nitro . But, evreything turned out OK. I really like the track in Baytown better; already waiting for the spring.

I was up there friday. My first time at Ennis. I wasn't real impressed. I much prefer baytown. Times are lower, speeds are faster, they come off the line harder, and they usually have at least 3 or 4 nitro guys make it down the track without blowing the tires away.

Back on topic, if the Allen Samuels is anything like the one down here I'd steer as far away from it as I could. I've had horrible luck with them.

I missed the Orielly due to work & family restraints. I do usually go, though. Well, my trucks @ Allen Samuels getting the tranny fix for the 2nd time in 2 weeks(2 weeks ago it was @ a dealership in Wax. that destroyed it). Just found out their ordering more parts for the tranny, but the serv. man. couldn't remember what parts when we were on the phone(yeah, right!). This will be the 3rd timne it's been in for tranny/ TC work. Hopefully 3rd times a charm. I think I deserve a NEW tranny seeing as I only have 9,000 mi. on it.
