Electrical help
I am experiencing a problem that I have never had before. I am sure it is something very simple and don't really want to take the truck to the dealer if I don't have to.
Here is the issue, when I hook a trailer light plug to the truck, any trailer I have tried a 3 different ones, it blows the running light fuse for the trailer lights only.
Where can i check for shorts?

look in the trailer lights jack on your truck...i had something similar like this happen to me also..I was driving down the road at night and the headlights and everything just suddenly went off...it kept blowing the fuse...happened three times and I finally found out there was a short in the trailer lights hookup on the truck
Take a test light and check the plug and truck here is the wiring. I never hook up a trailer that someone else has wired. The center is not the ground.

I know the trailers are wired correctly.
I will check the plug socket on the truck. It has to be on the truck so i suppose that is as good a place to start as any.
