dually wheel wells

I have a 03 dually and live on a farm and drive on gravel roads. The other day I was clean out the box went I noticed that the wheel well tubs were all dented up from rocks being thrown up by the tires!!! The truck only has 8000 kms on it and at this rate it will saw through the tubs by 20000 kms. Its that bad, no exageration. What do I do, do you think warranty will cover this? Has anyone else had this problem. Are the inner fender liners for the dually?

Re:dually wheel wells

Are you saying you don't have inner fender liners? If so, yes there are a lot of people griping that they didn't get any when they purchased there truck. Good news they do have them at dealers. Mine came with them. Some people gripe which I don't blame them because they are half liners on there truck and some did not get any at all I guess kinda like you. How many miles on the truck? Try going back to your dealer and asked them how come you didn't get fender liners and maybe they would put some on for you, wouldn't hold my breath though. You also might want to check for body plugs also some people didn't get any. Check right under your body of your truck at the door. you can feel with your hand. Hope this helps.

Sled, Nice to have you aboard Lot of nice folks around here, you also bought 1 of the best trucks out there IMHO. Lots of info. also you need to fill out your profile of your truck so people can see what you have. Kinda like bragging on your hotrod towing machine if you want to call it that. ;D

Re:dually wheel wells

??? I don't know if it is normal, but I have mine covered with a liner towards the front of the truck can't see no filler tube. I would say you are missing part of the liner. Mine is a 2 piece type liner 1 for the front and 1 for the back my dealer put mine on when I bought my truck. > You would think they would put this crap on when you buy your truck. Companies in the USA are getting by with doing this crap to people and it kinda pisses me off > > when we work hard for our stuff and buy these over priced plastic and thin tin stuff. They just don't make stuff like they use to. 8)I have a 1930 Model A that is all original all steel hard to come by these that are still all steel . You can't even push in on the side or the fender. It won't move now that is automobile with some steel in it. Sorry MODERATOR for venting and getting off topic a little. :-[

Re:dually wheel wells

Now xcumminsx I see you have a 2500 or is that 3500 dually. If it is a single wheel I don't know what they do for the fender wells, but my dually came with both. Someone will probably chime in here and answer that for you. If it's a dually go back to the dealer ask them if they would put one on for you. Act like you didn't know and tell them that your truck didn't have a inner fender well liner on it when you got it home. Maybe they will put 1 on or maybe they will say no. Don't know what they may say. Can't hurt to ask right? I had a 2000 Z-71 it didn't have inner fender liner towards the gas tank I could see gas filler tube also.

Re:dually wheel wells

fill out your profile a little more we can see more of what your truck has. That will help people on here if you have problems, they want have to ask to many questions about the truck.
