Dually Tailgate Lights

Just noticed yesterday a couple of 07 Duallys that the 3 light cluster was missing from the tailgate. Upon closer examination I noticed that it was under the tailgate like F and C do... I broke down and asked a guy at the pump if he swapped tailgates with a non-dually. His reply was that it was the way he got it from the dealer. And it was an 07.

Ya, that's how the 07's come. I kind of like the 06' version better, at first I didn't even see the lights mounted below the gate and thought that DC was trying to save a buck.

I just called a local dealer to get an approx cost for the new one. Parts guy said his book/catalog still showed only the tailgate mount? Then he walked out on the lot and said. "Dang...Your right, they aren't on the gate anymore. I'll see what I can find out and call you back."?

I like the looks of the gate mounted ones. But crawling under to unplug and re-plug that sucker when loading and un-loading my camper is a pain

I think that Dodge changed the light location to be DOT legal with the tailgate off.

Question Anyone Know The Part Number?

For the 2007 rear center clearance marker lamp located in the space between the bottom of the tailgate and the rear bumper, does anyone know the Dodge part number and the price? Are there additional parts that need to be ordered like mounting hardware and an extension harness?

Thanks,

RJ
