Drove off...
Has anybody drove off while the truck was plugged in? If so, what kind of damage did you have on the truck? I'm really afraid that one of these days (when I'm in a rush) I will drive away with the cord still attached to the truck. It would've been nice if DC had placed a warning light on the dash to remind drivers that the truck is still plugged in.

Very much so.
It has loosened up a little, this being the 3rd winter I've had it.
Just wait till you're fighting with a wet plug, bare hands, power still going to it.
BZZZZZZZT, wakes you up better than coffee.
That's why I have my timer set turn off @10 minutes before I need the truck.
A few times I've had to leave early though.

You can purchase an auto-eject plug . You will have to shop around for it. I lost my source and don't remember the manufacturer. (crs) The application I see it on most are ambulances and fire trucks.
Or you could put a short chain on it to prevent it from yanking on the whole cord. Oh yah, put one on the house side too.

I backed out once and the cord just unplugged, thankfully.
I've owned 4 CTDs and every one of them has had the tight plug. I think it is a seal to keep moisture out. I had a great idea to loosen up my extensin cord holes and it plugged in much easier but I also had rain get in and throw the breaker. Lesson learned.......
