There was a discusion earlier about disconnecting the door chime. Does anybody know how to do this or even know where about it is so that it could be disconnected. thanks

Did it beep at you after you finished? My truck beeped after I did it like 4 times I think? Haven't verified that it works yet tonight, but it did beep so I'm sure it worked.

All these little chimes and warning bells and whistles are very clearly outlined along with the sequence to disable them in the owners manual you read when getting your truck. It just takes a few mins of patience and a blind monkey can do it.

Does anyone have a blind monkey I can borrow for the evening?

Seriously, I was able to rid my truck of the seatbelt chime, but the door chime won't leave. I, too, want to clean my truck and listen to the radio.

I tried xtoyz17 instructions last night and got the ding at the last step... I just want to make sure I understand what my results are supposed to be. Is this supposed to (w/ the door open) turn it off completely or is it just going to no longer ding when i have the key turned to the ON position? Mine still dings as soon as I insert the key into the ignition and it turns off only when it is in the ON position.

what xtoyz stated was not for the "door chime". there is no method other than clipping the wire, to stop the door open chime. i did clip the wire on my last truck. i think i have a wiring diagram somewhere for these trucks. i'll look and see if i can find which wire needs surgery and let you all know.
