Dpf & mpg
With fuel prices on the rise again I think it's time for the Govt suspend the Diesel Particulate requirement. It's just stupid to require a Truck to burn almost 1/4 of it's fuel to burn off carbon. I've kept records of pre and post DPF delete and the differance is amazing. Round trip from Vancouver, WA to Tacoma average use was 15.3 Gallons before and now uses 11.8 gallons for the same drive. (260 miles R/T). That means I save approx. 3.5 gallons of fuel for the same trip after the delete. How can anyone buy the idea that burning more fuel equals less pollution? Seems to me it just drives up consumption and thereby prices.

welcome to the control of big brother and dbags like al gore who brainwash the general public on these nasty "black smoke blowing" diesels. its the reason fuel prices are much higher than gas prices. I would love to have the chance to have 5 minutes a room with these nut jobs.
