Just bought a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with the 730R Nav radio. Love it, very easy to use.

I want to put this same radio in my 2007 5.9 2500.

Can it be done or where should I start researching? I searched here and everything stops at 2010. I believe this radio even though it looks the same as the MyGig radios in the past writeups, I think it is a whole new system.

I don't see it being too hard. You have a 12v wire, switch on, and ground. Then 4 sets of speaker wires and 2 wires for sat radio antena. Only other thing it might have would be a plug for nav antena. Of coarse a regular radio antena cable also.

 

Need to add some info. The radio code is also known as an RHR MyGig system.

Looking for information on adapters and such, if even needed. I have a Laramie with the Infinity system (and my JK has Infinity also) as well as steering wheel controls (on the JK as well).

I will update as I go, it may take awhile though. In the meantime, maybe a Chrysler savvy tech with experience on this type of upgrade could chime in and giv some insight.

Before I drop $1300, want to make sure I can make it work.
