Tow mirror arm repair?

OK, hit my passenger side tow mirror on the way out of the garage, it did not bend the mirror back, instead somehow the mirror kind of pivoted against the garage door opening perfectly making the whole truck move a little. Now there is a small gap between the mirror arm and the mirror and the mirror no longer "clicks" into place. I can move the mirror arm front to back and it does not "click" into place anywhere. It must be popped out of place. Does anyone have any instructions on how to disassemble the mirror from the mirror arm so I can look to see if anything can be fixed before I have to buy a new one?

There was a thread on removing the mirror sometime back. Maybe do a search and it will turn up.

Yea tried that, all I could find were threads on taking the mirror off the door or replacing the glass part of the mirror. Did not find anything where somebody actually took the mirror apart.
