i love how 20 people seen your post and no reply...
as for your truck? do a search for death wobble aka DW and read, read, read. there is a ton of things to check. i am in the middle of chasing down my problem. new ball joints are "hopefully" going to be the end of it next weekend.
good luck

Probably because it is in the wrong section
It will get moved to the correct section and get a much higher number of answers.
Anyways, You are correct about the death wobble.
To the OP....Like above and search death wobble. There are several things that can cause it. It can be a pain to figure out or you might get lucky on the first try. Are you the original owner? Do you have any kind of leveling kit on it? The more info you provide the better the answers will be.

I love how people complain that nobody gave them free information instantly...
We don't have a paid tech support staff here, this is just a bunch of people who are nice enough to share their knowledge for FREE on their own time. I am disgusted by people who complain that they are not getting answers fast enough.
Oh, and I moved it into the right section.

It might help to fill in your sig. I got it once after going to bigger tires without changing shocks and steering stabilizer change those to bigger shocks and dual stabilizer fixed it for me
If the DW is repeatable you could have someone drive in front and watch what the front wheels are doing. I have seen wheels bouncing up and down and seen wheels wiggle left and right.
It may help narrow down the problem. (ideas are cheep)

I've had DW issues of and on for the last few years. Started with 2" leveling kit, had instant DW. New tires were on a few days later and the issue was much worse. Installed BD track bar, steering box brace and dual stabiliser, new style tie rod package, had alignment done and had tires rebalanced many times and finally was almost safe to drive. Now tires are about 1/2 worn and truck drives much better. Haven't had DW episode in almost 10,000miles.
My take? Balance is critical, have tire shop load test each time balance is done, new tires are not as good as tires worn with good contact patch for the truck their on. If I had it to do again I would not put on leveling kit or bigger tires. I have driven 3 of these trucks ('06, '07.5, and '09), all of them feel on the edge of DW when you hit the wrong bump in the road.
The '06 is my brother in laws, it has all the same things as mine (steering box brace, 2" level in front, new steering linkage. It also has freespin kit, just got to drive it for first time the other day (about 100 miles mixed highway and interstate). I was disapointed that I could not feel any improvement in way it drove than my '07.5. His truck has only about 15k on it, mine has about 80k.
Good luck,
Shane

warren,
There is a huge amount of information on this very subject and with your tires.
The fix involves new '08 linkage, accurate tire balance, track bar bushings, ball joints, steering gear adjustment, steering damper, caster adjustment and getting rid of the "D" rated or worn BFGs.
Some or all of the above. Since you set yours off with dips, I'd say it's mainly linkage and play in the system. It would be nice to do all the above upgrades, but maybe just getting better tires, the '08 linkage with damper and adjusting the steering box and caster will do it.
The front ends definately need help and are fixable. Take a deep breath and get out your wallet. Oh, and welcome to the club! Let the games begin!

That was my point! People may not know the ways of the site or how to properly find/post stuff. The twenty people that had viewed the page and not helped the guy out could have. And it was not a complaint just an observation.
I have an 05 that has the same issue. I was running the 315's with no issues. I replaced my steering parts and stabilizer, and had the front end aligned, and I now have the death wobble. I am going to put the old stabilizer back on to see if that helps, otherwise the only thing changed is the alignment. I'll keep you posted.
I have noticed that the alignment is the biggest factor. when i put my stock rims and tires on to get my rims powder coated i didnt align and got the first ever DW. then it happened again after alignment and after new tie rod/ drag link. its a nightmare. all the stars have to be in sync to avoid DW.
Big wide tires on skinny rims, with a truck that is prone to DW due to design.
If you want to keep the too wide tires, everything else will have to be PERFECT.
Caster to a minimum of 4 degrees, heavy duty stabilizer, urethane track bar bushings.....
