Dealer Experience
Dealer Experience
First dealer visit and left with mixed emotions . First off I met a fellow member there OUT OF HERE while I was dropping the truck off had a good time chatting and a sharp truck I might add . Had the engine flash done and man this thing flies now !! The cab plugs I got a line of baloney and I provided part # for the denial boys who had never heard of that before . They tell me they no longer use them at the plant and I can purchase 16 of them for $ 2.61 each !! Grease puking all over underside of truck from sealed u -joints they say is normal .......... wasn't normal on my Ford I tell him ......... to no avail . Oh ya ........... they said they would give me a ride to work 4 miles away but conveniently didn't have time so I got a ride from a fellow Cummins owner and was an hour and a half late !! They were a bit peeved I guess cuz I chatted with OUT OF HERE outside for awhile and gave him the info and part # s for cab plugs too .
How I love the service dept BS game !!

From the posts I've read and also being on my back under my truck looking up at the trans, eng, etc. with a mechanic from the dealership - say it's cosmolene melting off. Crap is all over everywhere. May not be your prob, but it's the usual line for oil on the undercarriage...
BTW: if they're a 5 star dealer, call the customer service hotline. Too many complaints and they'll lose their certification. They usually respond favorably to you once a report is made to DC. You get brand new trucks and the like for loaners, the yes sir treatment. Sometimes dealers need to be reminded of the ole, customer's always right, addage. Ford responded very well to this too.

The customer service people will most DEFINATELY be getting a call Monday . I think it is just ridiculous that I should have to pay for rubber plugs in the cab that should have been there from the get go anyway !! Really peeves me that others are getting them with no problems from other dealers and I even gave them the part # because they had never heard of that before ....RIGHT !! They put more salt on our roads here in the winter than a bag of Mcdonalds fries and the tape has already slipped back an inch or so on the holes from wind . The u- joints I can live with just wanted it documented for future since I can't grease them and those babies are 70 bucks each I hear . Could be worse I could have a Ferd with an 8 cylinder boat anchor under the hood ......
!!! My boss just ordered a new Ferd will keep everyone informed on how that goes .

I don't think so. Make a few phone calls, write a few letters, he might change his mind.
