Dashboard getting sticky...

...from sitting in the sun maybe? This is my second Dodge, and they both have / had it. I haven't treated the dash with anything... yet. I prefer the look of the OEM, so I figure I'll buy a dashcover to hide the cracks when that time comes, and really don't want to hasssle with a window shade all the time. Any other suggestions or experiences on how others have dealt with this?

I don't know why the dash would be sticky. Do you eat or smoke in your truck alot? As far as protecting the dash I use 303 Aerospace protectant.

I usually wipe the interior down with a damp towel whenever I wash the truck, and it seems to keep the dash fine.

McGuire's makes some foam dash and trim cleaner/protectant that works well. It doesn't leave a greasy feel or an unnaturally glossy look...

try the new turtle wax ice i think its called. Does not leave a unnatural appearance, has a uv protectant in it, and since i have been using it my dash gets nowhere near as hot.

Mine had a sticky dash as well. I used the ice and it has went away. It did require a couple applications though.

I bought some turtle wax ice and it seems to have taken care of the "sticky mess". By the way, the ice is kinda white creamy color and squirts out of the bottle, careful you don't get it in you eye.

I use nothing but a damp cloth and water. I have no issues. By chance have you used Armor ALL or a like product? If you have, that is why.

If the truck sits in the sun a lot, might want to crack the windows when parked to keep the interior cooler than a 1000*f.

Never used any armor all or anything else.

I also tried cleaning it with water as well and never got great results.

For what its worth most complaints I've seen/heard about this issue have been with the 06 and up trucks. This coincides with the interior update that occurred in 06.

Mine is sticky, as was the dash on my Titan before it. On the good side it holds my dashmat in place without velcro

I never did find a product that worked to make the titan's dash not sticky.
