dASH IS uGLY

So I got the new 07 mega, I love it. The complaints I have are as follows please help if you have knowlege

1. The dash is just plain, square and kinda ugly, The ***** on the radio bezel create a ugly detail when replaceing with adouble din unit you still see the half moons (**** locations)

2. The radio bezel is painted to look like polished alumimnum and looks just like that. A item painted to look like another.

3. The floor center console thing, Why put that on the floor if there is a seat there? I know it conseals air cndition crap but come on its stupid if you use the seat. WHat are other trucks optioned with that i can change this out to maybe a cd drawer or something?

That's so your wife's hot little sister can sit there and put one leg in the driver's floor area.

On #3 you could just get the 6 speed manual and not worry about that.

geez... someone is picky. I dont know how big the consoles are on the megas but if its like the quad cab its no big deal. I prefer having the 3 cup holders extra storage. The transfer case lever would mess up sitting there anyways.

I could not agree with you more on item #3. That was my first thought after I bought the truck. How in the heck is someone going to sit there?

I guess I could of bought the manual.

thats why you opt out for the bucket sits instead of the bench

besides it is very very uncomfortable having someone sit right on top of you, my mega cab hauls 5 people 2 in front 3 in the back, and thats all i ever want in there.

the dash looks good, but i suppose if you dont have the gps then it doesnt, but again...if you are spending over 40K for a truck load it up.

but i love my ram interior and cannot complain.

You forgot cheap looking also, on my wifes 07 Odyssey the texture on the dash looks like leather, and its black. Also has holders in the front doors that hold 32oz waters.

You can get the double DIN dash panels, with or without fake aluminum paint, and with or without wood trim, on eBay. There are also online suppliers that will sell you one cheaper than the dealer. Price should be around $60 or so.

If you look in "jrussell"s gallery he has pics of a factory nav bezel with a Pioneer Avic double din deck. I believe it is the woodgrain one. This is the way I went along with a Metra adapter kit and it looks good. Sure beat having to fab up my on mounts.
