Dash rattle fixed!
Just thought I'd share my results. Been having a rattle in the dash for a little while now, and did a lot of searching on here. Lots of guys said it ended up being their tranny dipstick tube. I was certain mine was in the dash tho. Did all kinds of things, but nothing fixed it and I couldn't find it. Finally had someone sitting in the truck at idle and I was playing with things, and could still find nothing. Popped the hood, grabbed the tranny dipstick tube, and sure enough, that was it! After I found that was the problem, I just pulled it a little toward the fender to tweek it a little bit and it's been gone ever since!
FYI, the only other rattle I've had in this truck, I bought it brand new and would notice it going over railroad tracks or bumps similar to that, and sounded kinda like a clunk in the front end. After searching on here I was pointed toward the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. I loosened the bolts holding it, moved it over a little, tightened it back up and good to go!
Hope these help!
