Other than resale value, not much here. If you take care of her, she'll take care of you. Change the fluids, filters and it'll last. I've had 0 problems but I'm sure the tranny will need replacing before other parts. Only things I've had repalced where the cab lights (old style leaked) and the steering upgrade.

It would only be used for driving on the weekends and when the snow starts to fly and hunting and pulling the occasional car trailer. I drive my car everyday $15.00 a week for gas and people from work don't ask me to haul something for them after work.

I've got 209k on mine, all stock. It's a 2wd so less wear and tear on the front end.
I've spent:
$50 for a new rear brake caliper
$350 for a half valve body replacement in the transmission to fix the hard shift out of park

That plus the $7,500 I bought the truck for... not too bad so far.

I wound up replacing my front hubs around 190k. Did the front axle ujoints at the same time. Brakes went to 150k. Rear driveshaft ujoints at 80k (shot) and again at 160k (not as bad but showing some wear. I am at about 220k now and will do my injectors soon. I am still on original clutch but have a SB/dd waiting in the garage. I should probably think about ball joints and tie rod ends soon too.

Lift pump if it hasn't been moved to the tank or replaced with an aftermarket unit already.
