common chassis issues?

hey guys,

i am looking at buying an 06 mega cab with 210,000 km on it. i am pretty familiar with greatness of the drivetrain and common issues there. i read a lot of help post and problems due to the nature of the forums. i am wondering about the most common issues with dodge chassis? common issues with the 06 era trucks (not drivetrain or performance related)

Rear door windows on the Megacab are kinda delicate, so don't be slamming the rear doors too hard, especially with the windows part way down. Pricey glass to replace.

Not to take away from the original post but Kry226 posted about the Lumbar support. Anyone else have an issue with their's? I was adjusting mine the other day and it was like the wheel on the side of the seat just snapped free from everything else on the inside of the seat. Is this a quick fix?

good info! keep it coming.

i am going to take a wild guess that the lumbar supports are similar to the style in the semi trucks seats i see in new stuff. the lumbar supports break in these too. there issue is the spiral ramp molded inside the lumbar **** 'wheel' breaks out. it is just made of plastic and the dowel for the lumbar support mechanism has nothing to ride on anymore. maybe someone can chime in and confirm or deny the similarities of the two systems. the fix for these seats is just a simple **** "wheel" replacement.

Front wheel hubs ~$300 each plus labor, or day of your time and angst.

(My driver's side lumbar wheel bit the dust too. Haven't priced a new one.)
