Why would you want to remove the high idle?

There is more adjustability in the 2006+ trucks... but the factory fast idle is not disable-able. Its there for a reason, why would you want to turn it off?

As far as DRL's you should be able to tell the truck it was exported to Canada and DRL's will work... *should* (I remember seeing the option when I was messing with a DRB III on my 05)

Yes helps the engine warm up sooner, or stay warm when idling in cold weather. The increased load also decreases cylinder washing by increasing cylinder pressure. All trucks have it enabled from the factory.

~32*F and low coolant temp after 2 minutes of idling the rpms will increase to 1000 until you are warm (180*), tap the brake, or put it in gear.
~15*F and lower it goes to 1000 rpms as soon as you start the truck until you are warm (180*), tap the brake, or put it in gear.

because it's very annoying and totally uneeded in my use of the truck.

Why do you feel its unneeded? If you idling that long then you need it to keep cylinder temps up, to keep the cylinders from washing.

But if it really annoys you then put a stick between the seat and brake pedal.

Then turn the truck off. Noise goes away.

The factory high idling can not be turned off, you can turn off the high idle controlled through the cruse control. FYI they made sure you can't turn off the factory high idle for a good reason, its there to help prevent cylinder wash when it gets cold.

The DRL can be enabled/disabled with the DRBIII. The country must be changed to Canada which will allow access to feature to enable/disable. Once the change is made change back to US and your good to go.

Verify what version you have, some were missing the fast idle tune.

I downloaded SJ67V603BR20ME.7z,uncompressed it, and uploaded that smc file to the smarty. Then did the 'default' basic upload to the truck

Smarty J67 Ver. 6.03B, Data: J20ME
REVO software
Mar. 23, 2010
5,061 KB

I just put it on there this past weekend, its the latest ME file

If memory serves me right, the high idle won't work in an automatic truck placed in neutral (with the parking brake engaged, of course).
