I've got a 2007 3500 and was looking at the air box and comparing the set up to the photos of the K & N air intake set up part #63-1532. It don't look like it would work. I live in the north and there are no other older trucks around to look at. Could someone comment on this. Also is it a good idea to put one of these on, compared to using a K&N drop in??? or staying stock???

My buddy did the AFE and it is nice but pretty pricy, I have a custom intake built out of 4" to 5" steel. My intake is down low also I diden't bring it all the way up.

 

If your looking at purchasing a CAI just spend the money on a s&b intake. There is no reason to spend the extra cash. I have had both, granted the AFE looks prettier, but the s&b filters just as good at roughly half the price.
