Chech Gages Light.....

My check gages light has started flashing at me the past few days. It comes on for less than a second and then goes off. It has only happened about 6 times that I have seen. All of my gages read fine... Anybody ever have this ghappen? If so, what was the cause?

Thanks in advance!

This is a known glitch that happens every once in a while. My 03 CTD has the same gremlin. DC still hasn't figured out how to fix it according the DC shop forman I spoke with a month or two ago. The conditions that it occurs are not consistent, so that makes the random flash all the more of a challenge to resolve. No worries - there will eventually be a TSB on this.

I had the same problem, the first time I took it in the Service Advisor said "Tech. Could Not Duplicate the Problem" I knew there was a TSB regarding the problem but figured no sense in arguing about it so the second time I took it in I handed the Service Manager a print-out of the TSB and said I still have this problem that your Tech. could not duplicate the last time I was in.

Of course I was polite about the whole matter, as I may someday need a friend in the service department.

That was in March since then no "Erroneous Indicator Lights" as the TSB calls it.
