Hello all, just joined, Surrey BC, ‘07, 5.9, 3500 dually, I’ve been watching my gauges and it’s running at 14.4 to 14.5, no problems but it just seems high, cannot find anything definitive from anywhere so I thought I’d ask here, it’s not that I missed the charging over the years but after I had a remote start put in the install said I was high, but no problems, any info would be great. Thanx

 

Welcome to DTR from ~900 miles south of you. After you park the truck for the night, disconnect, one of the battery's negative cable. In the morning, check each battery's voltage separately (at their posts) with the engine off and the one negative cable still disconnected. Re-connect the negative cable after the tests. Check out this thread for more info on voltages, how the computer reads it, and what might happen with a bad battery.
