changing mirrors
Remove door panel,a couple of screws and lift up on it.Behind the panel are two nuts that hold on mirror(wiring if you have power). The door panels are much easier to mess with than the old style with the push in clips . You have to negotiate the door handle through the panel with a little twisting. All and all is isn't bad.

its cake like they said, i've done this many times actaully. you'll need a 10mm socket, 3" extension, 3/8" ratchet and a phillips screw driver. just use the screw driver to remove the screws at the bottom of the door panel. then the socket to remove the door handle. then its just a matter of popping up the door panel to get access to disconnect the wiring for the switches. then you'll just disconnect the wiring going to the mirror (if its power) then unbolt the 3 bolts holding the mirror on and it should come off. it make take a little messing w/ the plug on the mirror side to slide back out of the door to get it off but its simple.
The hardest part will be paying the cash... These bad boys are expensive!!
The old towing mirrors (I have one old and one new on mine) had a plastic base and I had one start to shiver at idle. The dealer replaced it with a mirror with an aluminum base where it pivots.
You could get the older ones cheaper maybe.
