CB Antenna

I have Dodge Dually 3500 and I am trying to hook up my CB antenna.. My antenna mount will be on the bed so I am gonna have to come up through the trucks floorboard or somewhere to get it up to my front floor board. My question is where do I come in at or what is the easiest way to come in at?

From: Thanks Don M!
Look for rubber body plugs under the cab or run the cable to the firewall and go through a grommet there.

Like Scotty said I ran mine through a grommet by the clutch pedal and under the cab along the frame to the ariel that is mounted on the crossover tool box

Thanks guys, I will look into running it up to the firewall and then come in from there. I don’t guess you would remember how many feet your antenna cable was do you? I bought a 18 ft but I don’t know if that will be enough.

18 Ft is exactly what I used and I had extra but I was advised by the guy that matched my antenea not to cut it (don't know why) it did not work very well until I got him to match the antenea with a SWR meter. but it works ok now. I have the Cobra with all the controls on the mike with the weather chanels and I sure like it.

My brother used Bungi cords.......

1. Stand Radio straight up (antenna outlet on floor) with bottom of case against consol......use cords to go around consol ( lower ) and back to radio. Opens top unit no problem...not sure about bottom.

I did it a different way!

1. Get velcro
2. put it on bracket of radio
3. now put other piece on top of consol near passenger side angled a little so you can see numbers.
4 That's it.
When I open my top I simply hold radio a little......it has rode there for a year with no problems
Easy on Easy Off
