Can't find thread about campers and warranties
I'm talking to a dealer about the 2007 trucks and asked if campers are OK. He said they have always been OK. I'm sure I read a thread awhile ago that said campers will void your warranty due to a few frame cracks. I have tried searching but no luck. Does anyone know about this thread or am I high (again)?

DC never seems to advertise a camper cert...
Yet, when my '06 dually came in, it had a cert in the glovebox.
I am ASSUMING that they automatically cert the duallys for camper use.
You might try looking in the glovebox of an '07 daully.

The camper weight certification varies from models to model, some have low limits making them practically useless. I think the SRW Mega Cab 2500 CTD is the only model not approved for campers period. All trucks should have a cert in the glove box with camper weight limit and CG information. The dealer should also have a spec sheet for the model and option package, or at least be able to look it up for you. If you have a camper in mind, get its weight spec before picking out a truck. I think the CTD is great for towing but has a relatively low weight camper certification, making it not so good at carrying one within legal limits.
