I like these better than the full-length SS nerf bars.

p.s. also it's a pretty good shot of the front mount for the bolt-on ladder bars we made; I actually used leftover material from them and the GN to fabricate these heavy-duty steps. I could lift the truck with them.

These are the front steps:

These make it SO much easier to wrench on the truck, making a nice seat for under-dash work and plenty of room to swing in and out from under the truck!

No, the aluminum treadplate has excellent traction - much better than the rubber treads on the old SS nerf bars; I even got to try these out coated with ICE the last few days.
