Can you get deals from a dealer that's closing?
I've been looking, but I can't really find any information on whether or not you can get a screaming deal on a truck on the lot right now. There are several dealers closing within 100 miles and my wife is against a new truck unless I could get a screaming good deal. I would think with all of these dealers closing, there should be some sweet deals between now and June 9th, but you'd have to pull the trigger quickly. What do you guys think? Has anyone gotten a sweet deal from a dying dealer? Has anyone called about them? I'm just curious, because this might be my window of opportunity. I've been searching on this forum and on the internet, but I can't find much. I might just take a drive tomorrow and see what I can find.
Yeah, apparently if they don't sell their inventory before the axe falls, they won't be able to offer the variouos factory discounts and incentives on what they have left- and wouldn't be able to compete with the places that are still dealers.
The one that's closing around here said that they won't be cutting any prices. They said "All dealerships pay the same price to get them so we can't sell them any cheaper than the other guy otherwise we'll lose money." That was on a local newscast a couple nights ago.

That's not kicking a guy when he is down! What if he doesn't sell it. That would be worse.
It's taking advantage of a deal when one comes along. That's why people flock to any type of store closing, they are looking for a deal and not trying to rub salt in a wound.

The couple around here are selling them for 12-14K off.
But they going 3K under trade in book on mine.....so no big savings.
One offered my 9K for my Laramie 6sp. Truck has 105K miles, and the truck is clean, no rips or anything. Told them to go pound sand.
