I want my front to look the way the 06+ does. I have a buddy with an 07 and his looks about the same as far as doors go. Doesnt look like clearance would be an issue.. Does anyone know if Ican replace my hood/fenders/front bumper/hood with an 06+? I have alot of work into my truck and I dont want to sell it and buy a new one (not that I would get approved anyhow) for the smart guy whos gonna suggest that. If I can convert it can anyone tell me where a good place to pick up some parts would be?

 

The hood should be the same. The fenders, headlights, front bumper assy from an 06 should bolt right up. Check the classifieds. Where are you located? I have a complete front bumper assy from a 2006 including fog lights I want to sell.

I actually think the 03'-05' trucks have a better looking front end. I can't stand the 06' up headlights... they look like bug eyes or somthin'

There is someone on here that did this conversion. I forget who did it but you can search and probably find it. he even has before and after pics.

Thanks for finding the thread for me! Yea I like the 06 look better then my 05 but I like my interior better since the 06 doesn't come in black.

There was a place in Southern Illinois went by the name of Pershing Supply on Ebay that sold paint matched body parts pretty reasonably.

Silver is a deathly terrible color to match though......

 

Yea, I think id have to have them painted on the truck if worse comes to worse. I hate other people having my truck, They get it all dirty and put grease and figerprints on it inside and out. Not to mention they readjust the seat which I cant stand! I think it takes longer to adjust the seat then they will actually spend driving it to a different parking spot.. lol. I think if I found them off an already silver truck the difference if any would be very slim.

I miss the black interior on my '02 QC 1500, I also prefer the front end on the Pre-06's. I ended up ordering Black covers for the seats...I still don't understand why they put wood trim with Gray interior? Gray should have had the Stainless like the Sports and the Beige should have the wood interior.
