Can a 2wd Ram 3500 be leveled 2" ?
I have a 2006 Ram 3500 Mega Cab diesel. Some people have told me that it can`t be lifted at all. It is a 2wd and the front is considerably lower than rear and I was thinking of making it level by adding a couple of inches to front. I`ve heard if I do that it will ruin the steering, and the only way to level it is to lower the rear and not to raise the front. Is this factual info ?

My 03 doesn't have much travel. I took out the bottom OL springs to lower and help the ride but ended up cutting the ends off the OLs and putting them back in to get the heigth back. That was mainly because of the short airbag travel. Mine also has 2 - 1/2" spacer plates but I decided to leave everything in place. You can take some out but it depends on how much you're going to load the bed. It's easy to get into the spring stack if you have jackstands and a floorjack. Block the back of the truck up so the wheels are off the ground and use the jack to lower and raise the axle as you work on the springs. DO ONE SIDE AT A TIME. Use c-clamps to hold the long leafs together before you remove the center bolts. Craig

Daystar leveling kits. they have 2". Now I don't know about 2006 yet but look them up.
Most folks dont lower the rear but rather raise the front, and say 2" is the max without needing front end components.

I put the Daystar 2 inch leveling kit on my 2004 3500 2wd dually. I did it so I would have room for the 22.5 Alcoas. It is still just a little lower in the front. I would guess about a 3/4 inch rake from rear to front. Pics in my gallery.
