Cab Lights or no?

Should I install them on my 06 3500? I really like the way they look but I can see them as a possible electrical problem or leak. Anyone ever have any problems with thier cab lights?

Yes you should. Mine didnt come them and i put them on a couple weeks later. At first i had issues with leaking but i loosened em up and ran a bead of silicone around the base (ran it on the base of the light then stuck it on the roof) and havent had a problem since. They serve no real purpose for me except they look cool and make the truck look tougher in my opinion. So yes it is purely poser for me but i like em.

Yes, queer as it may be, they don't come standard on a the one ton SRW's. One of the ones I looked at before I got mine didn't have them OR tow mirrors?!

What a lame way to order a truck.

Yes, you should get cab lights. Wanna be real cool? Get the smoked ones, I'd love to go smoked all the way aound on mine.

I got mine without the "lame" cab lights....I don't know why you would want them, they serve no real purpose. I've heard allot of complaints about them (from the factory) leaking, the same reason I didn't get the sunroof,...but hey if you want them, put them on, "wanna be real cool?" get some windshield wiper nozzle lights too if your into that.

IMO,...I say keep it clean, no need to clutter it up with all the inane bling...

I think the trck looks pretty **** tough the way it is
I guess only the duallys have to have cab lights due to DOT regs.
But I saw a silver 3500 with the Sport package like mine with the cab lights and the thing did look pretty bad EDIT. I really cannot imagine the truck without tow mirrors! thats crazy!

Incorrect.

It's not just about Duals, it's about towing a trailer with a width greater than that of the cab (or is it 80" total?) Most people that own a 1 ton will be doing some towing, so I guess it's up to the individual.

? Not really the same thing, but if it makes you feel like you are funny, okay....

Not just for fun, they are law in most states if not nationwide.

I believe it tells the oncoming traffic there is up to a 102" wide vessel in the opposing lane of traffic.
