Cab lights are installed!

After Luvnacumns did his yesterday (where's the pictures?) I figured I should do mine. Headliner is the hardest part. Or is it drilling 15 holes in the roof of my truck? It's actually a pretty easy install. Took 2-3 hours to do start to finish. I did let the drill slip and put a small scratch in the roof . Nothing a little touch up didn't take care of. Other than that simple. I know Luvnacumns routed his wiring through the firewall like the directions say. I wired mine into the harness in the passenger side pillar. The wire is white and grey. Checked it with a test light while the wife turned the lights on and off. They work fine. I made sure I put a good amount of silicone on the foam rubber seal just in case. If anyone has questions let me know.

I know I said I was going to do a detailed write-up. I still will, don't worry. I have a few more pictures to take. I wish I took more. The stuff that needs to be illustrated will be.

Im gettin there. I borrowed my dad's digital camera and don't have a USB cord to connect to my computer to download them.. I took extensive notes and pic's to help out.. It is really a simple install... I can't believe the dealer wanted $189 to do it. Congrats on the install and thanks for the help.. I can't believe my a-pillar wouldn't work but oh well I would of been done an hour earlier if I would of just ran it through the firewall and connected it..

Did you guys get the OE light kit from the dealer? or other OE provider?

Or did you go with a Recon type kit?
(just one of my "to do" mods on my list)

I got mine from the dealer. Luvnacumns got his from Dodgeparts.com. It's the same kit just a better price.

The ones on mine were foam rubber. I put some clear rtv on them to make sure they were sealed up good. I think it'll seal pretty tight. If that's what they put on at the factory I think I'm in good shape.

Im a do it yourselfer the whole way and doing everything from build whole cars to oil changes. I took mine to the dealer and let them do it. Figured from what I have read about leaking if it leaks I drive back and let them worry about it instead of me ripping out the headlinder 5 times. Well worth 150 bucks. Just my .02
