A/c issues
A/c issues
So living with the Tach issue. New problem A/C stops putting out cold air so I took it to dodge, codes showed high amp from compressor so the computer turned off A/C compressor, after clearing codes A/C work fine. Went on Vacation now, 3000 miles from home A/C quits again, I take it to Dodge they tell me bad computer, $1250.00 later A/C working got me all the way home, then two days later A/C quits blowing cold air again I have check and the compressor clutch is not kicking in again. When it works it works well and will freeze you out. I know there is no refrigerant charge issues. I am a Trained A/C Tech. I asked the deal to change the clutch when I took it to them, they promised me it was the CPU as there were other funky codes. now I am 3000 mile from that repair shop. Go Figure) I am getting ready to do one of two solutions, 1. I am going to replace the A/C clutch and have the codes reset. then if it fails 2. I am going to remove the A/C system from the CPU and let it run stand alone.
Any one else been through this. and did replacing the clutch work.

What year model is your truck?
Check the wiring harness next to the AC compressor. Make sure it's not chaffing. There's been a few instances with chaffing causing issues with the transducer.
